Identification of 11 proteins from Oesophagostomum dentatum using mass-spec

2-D protein gels were used to analyze the protein profiles of O. dentatum worms before, during and after exsheathement. Protein spots that were significantly upregulated during exsheathement were excised and analyzed by MALDI-TOF-MS/MS, leading to the identification of 11 proteins.

Selected Figure from paper:

Figure 2: Two-dimensional difference gel electrophoretic (2D-DIGE) protein map and Venn diagram summarizing the main biological processes in which proteins over-expressed in Oesophagostomum dentatum L3s during exsheathment (L3dxs) are inferred to be involved. Silver-stained 2D-DIGE gel of total protein extracts of O. dentatum L3s displays the protein spots and the protein homologues identified in the UniProt database (Uniprot ID; species).
